Yovanna Bieberich - Reporter, Petaluma Argus courier
Yovanna Bieberich works as a business reporter for the Petaluma Argus-Courier, a post she's held for the past four
years. "Although I live in Sonoma, I absolutely love Petaluma," she said. "Petaluma is a larger
city than Sonoma, but Petaluma still manages to keep that friendly, small town charm I love. The people here are
wonderful!"
Yovanna grew up in San Jose, but traded the concrete jungle for Sonoma in 1989 where she attended High School,
Santa Rosa Junior College, and ultimately got her BA in communication studies from Sonoma State University. "Those
were really my formative chili-making years" and ever since then Yovanna has kept an ample supply of fixins
for spur of the moment chili making. "I make a fine bowl of chili if I do say so myself," she added.
Yovanna is honored to be a part of this year's chili cook-off, and to be included among such a distinguished panel
of judges. "It'll be tough, but I am 100 percent committed to thoroughly sampling each bowl of chili? And
re-sampling and sampling again if necessary."
